Whisky Barrel Damascus

One of my highly unique products is forging Whisky Barrel Damascus.

To create this, I combine the steel hoops from whisky barrels together with high quality tool steels.  Utilising the immense heat from the forge, I fire-weld the steel together and fold it under heat several times.  As a result, a clear and distinct pattern becomes visible within the steel.

As of 2020, This is a new and unique Scottish product which marries together the classic Sgian Dubh kilt knife with traditional Scottish whisky.
